What is FUSS?
FUSS stands for Families Unite for Services and Support.
For too long , services for our disabled and neurodivergent children/young people have been grossly underfunded and neglected. Every child deserves timely access to assessment, interventions and appropriate educational settings.
(*Note: We do not advocate for the use of ABA)
FUSS aims to shine a spotlight on the shambles that is Ireland's Disability Services. We plan to unify voices nationally to force change. Our children's rights are infringed upon.
A Bit of Background
Here at FUSS Ireland, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in improving access to Disability Services and appropriate Educational Settings in Ireland.
Founded by the parents of neurodiverse and disabled children who have experience of interacting with services providers spanning over 8 years .
Official FUSS Subgroups advocating, per FUSS Ireland Constitution, in their CDNT/CHO are as follows:
FUSS Balbriggan, FUSS Tipperary, FUSS Cork, FUSS Meath
If you are interested in establishing a subgroup, please contact us.
What is happening @fussireland?
In June and September, we had meetings with FORSA to discuss families concerns regarding disability services. Several reps from CDNT were present. We have scheduled additional meetings to address key issues.
