FUSS Ireland stands in full solidarity with school secretaries and caretakers as they take industrial action in pursuit of fair treatment, respect, and recognition.

These staff are the backbone of our schools — often the first faces families meet at the gate and the ones who keep schools running smoothly and safely every day. Their contribution is every bit as vital as that of teaching and support staff, yet they continue to face inequality in pay, conditions, and recognition.

We urge the Department of Education to engage meaningfully with Fórsa and resolve this dispute without delay. School communities cannot function without these workers, and they deserve the security, respect, and fair treatment that reflects their true value.
